Implementation of support, interconnection, quality assurance and certification services for the Hellenic Academic Institutional Repositories, which aims at facilitating the evaluation of the results of academic and research activities and promoting the scientific research of Greek academic institutions abroad.
AMELib aims to provide books accessible via the Internet to all beneficiaries who are print-disabled users of academic libraries in the country. It is also the first attempt to establish a collective online public access catalogue (OPAC), which is documented on the basis of international standards, the available accessible literature in Greece, while following the international developments.
Implementation of a Central Plagiarism Detection Service for all types of assignments (course assignments, undergraduate, or graduate thesis, etc). It will consist of a database and a repository that will host students’ assignment where the process of identifying plagiarism by special software will take place.
Developing integrated services for semantic search in educational resource repositories of learning objects created in Learning Management Systems (LMS) that are being used by Greek Universities and TEIs and their related metadata databases using ontologies. This will limit the possible different semantic interpretations that accompany a learning object, therefore facilitating the search and eventually the retrieval of learning objects (using as a criterion the adaptability to the needs of each user).
