[29-6-2016] Central Infrastructure for the Software "Ask a Librarian" as a Service

Notice to all HEAL-Link members

HEAL-Link, as a part of the services offered to its members, developed the software "Ask a Librarian", where Library users can communicate with the librarian in charge, using a ticketing system.

The system is based on open-source software, so every library can to create its own user environment within a centrally configured system that HEAL-Link has developed.

The library user will be able to introduce a new claim, follow it and be informed about its course of progress. The system administrator will also be able to serve directly any online requests. Additionally, he will be able to check on updates by using direct statistical data.

HEAL-Link will keep the infrastructure backed up and will validate the security of the system at regular intervals. The library that will make use of this service does not need to use any man-hours for the technical support of the system.

If you would like to participate in "Ask a Librarian", you may contact us through the website http://helpdesk.seab.gr
