Intellectual Property Legal Counseling (Heal-Legal)

This service adopts standard procedures for clearing copyright issues for the material available through the Greek Academic Libraries (e.g. archival or other material). It provides guidelines on the valuation, restriction and management of the risks arising from the use of materials protected by copyright laws. It also offers educational seminars and recommendations for necessary legislative and administrative changes in relation to intellectual property, standardized contracts and procedures for the cooperation between libraries and other cultural institutions and organizations (e.g. Archives, museums, research and academic institutions, etc).

Information Literacy

Information Literacy Educational Platform for End Users: E-course offered through distance learning that is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students. It presents skills needed in order to know when they need information, how to retrieve information, how to evaluate sources and ultimately how to synthesize and use them effectively in order to satisfy their information needs.

Information Literacy Educational Platform for Librarians: Online course offered through distance learning which is aimed at informing and educating the librarian community on the areas that constitute Information Literacy (IL). The course will include educational materials (articles, links, studies, presentations, tools, best practices) that will provide the necessary information to enable information professionals to be able to design and implement an integrated information literacy program.
